Landscape shot of Torre de Urkulu--a Roman 'trophy' tower. I like the light on the tower with the shadowed ridge behind and the contrast of the very green in the foreground with the brilliant blue of upper reaches of the sky. I experimented with removing the people from the top of the tower, but the photo seemed to work better with them included.

A rainy Sunday at Salinas de Añana--the juxtaposition of the angular salt evaporation pans, the church, the fields beyond, and the dark, rainy sky create a lot of story and history.

I like the contrast of the shadows with the geometric pattern of the stairways and how they play with the curves of the grain elevator (related to the Coors brewery).

I liked the ultra-contrast (both in light and shape!) between the back-light stained glass, the shadows, and the lamplight stones on this church in Fort Collins.
